How it works

How an NFC Google review card works

  1. Step 1: A customer taps the card

They hold their phone near the card. Phones with NFC turned on show a link to your review page, with no app needed.

  2. Step 2: Your review page opens

It shows your logo and colors and asks how their visit was. Each location's cards open that location's page.

  3. Step 3: They rate you and post on Google

One tap on a star opens your Google review form. Customers who pick 1 to 3 stars can tell you privately what went wrong first.

Review management included

Every card comes with our review management system

Most review cards hold a fixed Google link and nothing else. Ours open a page you control, backed by a dashboard.

  • Collect reviews and track ratings

Every tap opens your review page. Each rating is saved, and you can follow your ratings over time.

  • Low ratings come to you privately

Customers who pick 1 to 3 stars can tell you what went wrong first, and you get an email alert so you can follow up. They can still post on Google.

  • Monitor activity in your dashboard

Ratings, private feedback and clicks through to Google, separately for each location.

  • A quick way in for customers

One tap with a phone, or a scan of the QR code. No app, no searching for your business on Google.

Security

Locked so nobody can redirect your customers

Every card is fully programmed and security-configured before delivery. We lock the NFC chip where the chip supports it, which helps prevent unauthorized reprogramming, tampering, or attempts to send your customers to another website.

It's a complete setup for collecting customer feedback, looking after your online reputation and making reviews easy.

  • Custom branding with your business logo and design
  • 3 mm adhesive backing for counters, desks and other surfaces
  • Programmed with your review page and security-configured before delivery
  • Configured and tested before we ship them to you, ready to use
  • Opens your GatherRatings page, so a new Google link never needs new cards

FAQ

NFC review card questions

What is an NFC Google review card?

A card or stand with an NFC chip inside. When a customer taps it with their phone, a link opens. Ours open your GatherRatings review page, which takes the customer to your Google review form.

Do I need a plan to use the NFC cards?

Yes. The cards open your GatherRatings review page, which comes with a plan, so you need an active plan for the cards to work. The plan also gives you the dashboard and low-rating alerts. The cards themselves are a one-time purchase.

Do customers need an app?

No. iPhones from the iPhone XS onwards and most Android phones with NFC read the card with a tap. On Android, NFC has to be turned on in settings.

What if a customer's phone doesn't have NFC?

They can scan your QR code instead. It opens the same review page, so nobody is left out.

Can someone reprogram my card?

We lock each card after programming wherever the chip supports it, which stops it being rewritten to point somewhere else. Every card is configured and tested before we ship it.

How do I attach the card?

Each card has a 3 mm adhesive backing, so it sticks to a counter, desk, table or wall. Clean the surface, peel and press.

Will I know when someone leaves a low rating?

Yes. Customers who pick 1 to 3 stars can tell you privately what went wrong, and you get an email alert so you can follow up. Everything also shows in your dashboard.

Do the cards post reviews for my customers?

No. Customers write their own reviews on Google. The card only makes it quick to get there.

I have several locations. Can one card work for all of them?

Each location has its own page and Google review link, so each location gets its own cards. That keeps reviews on the right Google profile.
